The property boasts 34 acres of forest, ponds, rivers and trails to explore with a large variety of animals who pass through at various times of the year. Within minutes of the property, our guests can visit many Conservation areas including the Pine River Valley and Bruce Trail.
Our goal is to provide our guests with a unique eco-friendly stay. It's important to us that we leave a small carbon footprint by using renewable energy while still providing thoughtful amenities for a truly enjoyable getaway.
Our hope is to inspire our guests to venture outside, to un-plug, un-wind and connect with nature in a way that is not only grounding in the moment but also a refreshing takeaway.

The Environmental conservation of our land is important to us! We stive to deliver the most enjoyable stay with the least Environmental impact.
This is why Cedar & Bough uses renewable & sustainable energy sources wherever possible. As we grow, each new site, bathroom or amenity is lovingly planned with this philosophy top of mind.

This is why Cedar & Bough uses renewable & sustainable energy sources wherever possible. As we grow, each new site, bathroom or amenity is lovingly planned with this philosophy top of mind.
In addition to Cedar Cove Cabin & Evergreen Holler, our future plans include adding unique stays that might include a Hobbit House, Riverside Boathouse and suspended Treehouse. Perhaps a glamping dome or vintage camper too.
In 2024 we have plans to bring an Eco Garden to Cedar & Bough which will grow a number of fruit trees and native plants along with herbs, vegetables and berries.
Cedar & Bough's long-term plans include growing into a full service space for holistic healing of the mind, body and soul.

Both Chris & Dee come from large families. Dee grew up on a farm in South Africa while Chris grew up on the water in Owen Sound.
In 2021, they decided they needed a change from the hustle and bustle of city life. Their dream was to give their children a quiet country home with lots of space where they could unplug and learn about the powe

In 2021, they decided they needed a change from the hustle and bustle of city life. Their dream was to give their children a quiet country home with lots of space where they could unplug and learn about the power of nature.
They purchased their dream property in Mulmur, Ontario and packed up their 6 children (Dee brought Jaeda, Kiera & Zander & Chris brought Jake, Casey & Benny). Along with their 4 pups, they make up the big blended family behind Cedar & Bough.
Creating the space has been an ongoing labor of love for the whole family and their close friends. In July 2022, they launched Cedar & Bough Nature Retreat, a place where families can come together to create lasting memories. Where couples can unwind and children can truly play. Where Nature Meets Nourishment.
